Brynderwyns Scenic Lookout

Location & Access

The lookout is located on State Highway 1 in the Brynderwyn Hills, just south of Waipū. It’s approximately 15–20 minutes’ drive from Waipū and sits along a well-travelled route connecting Auckland to Northland.

There is a designated pull-over area where visitors can safely stop and access the viewpoint. The lookout is easily accessible and requires only a short walk from the parking area.

• Take care when pulling over, as this is a main highway.
